The Multitude |

Children develop confidence in writing through receiving praise and comments from an authentic audience. The multitude will aim to enable the millions of corporate employees, who work at an internet enabled terminal, to devote a few minutes each week to supporting and commenting on childrens' work. The multitude will seek to facilitate an appropriate, trained audience for a school. Organisations will benefit from free digital literacy and safety training for their employees, whilst meeting CSR objectives.Once established, The Multitude will enable an investment in young people and, as a consequence, raise standards of literacy and motivation in the next generation of employees. |

100 Word Challenge |

It is a weekly creative writing challenge for children under 16 years of age. Each week a prompt is given, which can be a picture or a series of individual words and the children can use up to 100 words to write a creative piece. This should be posted on a class blog and then linked to the 100 Word Challenge blog. The link is usually open from midnight on Wednesdays until midnight the following Tuesdays.

This is a weekly challenge for those who are over 16 and enjoy challenging themselves with writing. Each week you are given a prompt. It may be a few connected words, a selection of individual words or a picture. You have 100 words (or the number that have been set for that week) plus the prompt to write a creative piece. If you have a blog, post it on your blog then link the URL of the post(not the blog) to the link that is at the bottom of that week’s challenge. Make sure there is a link to The Head’s Office as well. You can right click the badge above and copy the image URL into your post. |
