Multimedia Portfolio
- For use with one hour a week lessons
- suggested length is one term
- suitable for use with any year
Aim: Use Google Sketchup as the basis for creating a product when then has to be launched with a presentation like Apple does for its products and then effectively marketed. As pupils may have done a marketing task before in another portfolio this could be used as a way to freshen and improve skills however the focus could be placed more on proper and effective product presentation.
The completed list of products will include
- Completed design of a product in Sketchup and associated documentation
- Completed presentation for product launch
- Completed marketing strategy document

Pupils write a short product description covering features, target market and any other relevant data. Pupils can include design sketches as well.

Pupils create a 'keynote' style presentation to demonstrate their product and launch it to their target market. Pupils could also include a marketing strategy as well. |

Through this task pupils can investigate good keynote product launches in order to develop their own ideal launch. Pupils could be encouraged to use software other than PowerPoint. |
